- Visual Merchandising Intern at L’Oreal -
During my role as Visual Merchandising Intern at L’Oreal, for Maybelline New York, I oversaw the cross-departmental functioning of the visual merchandising process; this experience has prepared me for meticulous organisation, time management, and effective communication. Here are some of my highlights...
- Introduction -
Wider-team meetings encouraged me to understand trends and consumer behaviour, and during initial briefing meetings, I assumed the responsibility for guiding decisions on product and design selection, for which I demonstrated the application of this knowledge, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of promotional stories. With regard to competitor activity; I spearheaded the restructuring of the competitor report, improving data interpretation and facilitating informed decision-making.
- Strategy -
Recognising the market shift towards cosmetic brands in grocery stores, I demonstrated my strategic mindset by advocating for further space in major retailers; creating mock-ups, testing prototypes, and delivering compelling presentations to senior management ultimately led to securing additional space.

I utilised my fresh and creative perspective when assuming a role, usually held by my manager, and led high-impact campaigns, including the platinum product launch and collaboration with singer Mimi Webb. I showcased the ability to adapt design across various structures, and was commended for my collaborative approach when requested to upskill other teams.
︎ Feedback ︎
“Over the year you have gone from strength to strength and you should be proud of what you’ve managed to achieve in such a short period of time. The Maybelline promo process is now at its best spot in two years and you should be commended for your lead role in making this happen!”
- Tesco’s National Account Manager
“Caoimhe has a very open-minded, can-do attitude to the task. Caoimhe came into the project not knowing much about how the scheme worked, but within just a few weeks Caoimhe was taking the lead on conversations with agencies and retailers. We have seen a massive improvement in the communication to retailers and the response turnaround time for stores.”
